Two years ago I saw the opportunity to come home to Barberton Middle School. The Middle School had an ISS position available and I would jump at the chance to come home and work for this city, which I love because I was born and raised here. After working in the ISS job the last 1.5 years, the opportunity to move to 6th grade Science presented itself. Once again I jumped at this awesome opportunity. During my time here at BMS, I have done several other things. I have started an after school competition Science Club, housed a STUDENT LEAD after school bible study in my classroom, mentored young men for Coach Gottos football team, and I coached track and girls basketball.
In this upcoming year we will focus on some really cool 6th grade Science concepts. I have added two baby turtles, a 20 gallon fish tank, and #science in lights in the classroom in anticipation of the arrival of some eager future Scientist. I look forward to the challenge ahead in room H238 and I am very blessed to be a part of the Magic Community. Lastly, bow ties are fly. Thanks for reading and GO MAGICS!
